At Custom Neon®, one of our core values is 'we work from the heart'. We believe it is important to give back to the community, both locally and globally and Signs of Change is one way we do that. We have created four different designs which reflect our values, and we believe that these signs are symbols for the systemic change that needs to happen in our communities and the world.
When you purchase one of our LED neon 'Signs of Change' we donate 100% of the profits to Black Girls Smile. Founded with the mission of helping them with mental health, Black Girls Smile is a non-profit organization for African American girls, teens, and young women.
The organization conducts workshops and ongoing programs in public schools to increase awareness surrounding mental health – educating females about coping skills, self-care methods and resources that can be used to deal with mental health. They also have a therapy scholarship program that helps make therapy more accessible by alleviating the financial responsibility.
Black communities are one of the least likely to seek help. Therefore, providing education surrounding positive mental health encourages these vulnerable women to seek help when needed and speak out about their feelings. Read more about Black Girls Smile and their incredible work here.
